Do you ever struggle with a ring too big? That’s been my main issue since getting a new one to celebrate my 30th birthday (last year I gifted myself L’Essenziale bracelet by Atelier VM).
Initially, I picked a size 9, but it was too difficult to take off, so I opted for a size 10. It seemed fine (for the seller it was “perfect!”), spinning slightly as I shook my hand, but the first time I washed my hand it didn’t feel as secure.
How to make a ring fit tighter at home
So, I panicked. And you know that desperation makes you more creative, so somehow I ended up finding a ring adjuster on Amazon! Who knew? The most game-changer gadget after electric blankets!
What is it?
Made of PU, basically plastic, it’s a soft spiral available in different widths. Typically, it’s sold in packs of 10 pieces, and each piece can be cut into smaller bits, as shown in the picture below.
Miracles are not included, so it’s okay if your ring is a bit loose or slightly larger (let’s say one size bigger than needed), but if it’s way too big, this wouldn’t solve the problem.
Does it work?
I tried it out, and I love how it feels! It’s there, of course, you can feel it but it’s not annoying.
In most cases, this might be a temporary solution for the winter months when hands tend to swell less. For others, it could become a permanent fix if you’ve chosen the wrong size and don’t have the option to get it professionally adjusted.
How much does this solution cost?
This life-saver costs only 8€, which is a lot for what it is (a few pieces of plastic) but it’s a one-time purchase.
If you’ve been wondering what to do with a ring that’s too big or how to make it fit better, this PU adjuster is the answer. It’s an easy fix that makes a big difference!
