The Rimmel Red Instinct collection
Let’s have a look at the newest launch by Rimmel: the Red Instinct collection in collaboration with Rita Ora.
This collection comprehends:
- the Magnif’Eyes Palette
- the Wonder’full Mascara
- the Lasting Finish Red Instinct Lipstick
Magnif’Eyes Palette
The Magnif’Eyes Palette has 12 grey and brown toned eyeshadows. Unfortunately, mine has arrived with the black shade completely smashed!
I tried to swatch them over my arm but they appeared to be all the same colour, so I haven’t uploaded any swatch, however, the greyish shades are actually pretty similar.
All shades are quite pigmented and they blend well (not with that double-ended brush they come with though). Nice palette but not impressed.
Wonder’full Mascara
The Wonder’full Mascara contains argan oil and its brush is designed to give volume to your lashes. I was so sure I was gonna like it!
I’m going to try again but so far I’ve used it twice and the brush is uncomfortably big and it seems that the product doesn’t even exist: after 4 (!) coats my lashes were almost the same.
Lasting Finish Lipstick
The Lasting Finish Lipstick is a bright creamy red lipstick, which is supposed to last up to 8 hours. I used to love the Kate Moss lipsticks by Rimmel, so I was expecting equal quality. I’m happy to say I like it! Not the best shade of red for my skin tone but the lipstick itself is lovely.
Overall, I love the packaging but not really happy with the mascara, plus I’ve seen better palettes.
