The most exciting thing for me is trying out weird beauty stuff: carbonated bubble masks, mascaras with weird applicators, fingertip eyeliners and much more.
One of the latest trends are products with big applicators. From the Born This Way Sculpting Concealer by Too Faced to the Lasting Finish Breathable by Rimmel many brands are jumping on this trend.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation
Texture
The foundation is almost watery but doesn’t squirt out or create a mess, because the applicator leaves the excess product into the tube.
The texture makes it a foundation of medium-low coverage. It helps to camouflage blemishes and discolouration, however, it’s not buildable. The Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation gives a “your-skin-but-better” look, a dewy natural finish perfect for everyday makeup.
Application
Only downside: the applicator touches the skin and there’s no way of cleaning it. Not really hygienic!
Price
It costs 9£ on Amazon.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer
Application
Whilst I love the foundation’s applicator, the sponge at the end of the Lasting Finish Breathable Concealer is extremely uncomfortable to use.
It’s not comparable with the Anti Age Concealer by Maybelline because the cushion applicator is small and hard: you can’t blend the product directly from the concealer.
Texture
A shame because the product itself is not bad. This concealer has a good texture indeed, it spreads well and does not enter into the fine lines under your eyes.
Price
It costs 6£ on Amazon.
