Max Factor has launched a new collection: Rise & Shine. I own two products from this new collection:
- the Masterpiece Eyeshadow Palette
- the Rise & Shine Lift and Volume Mascara.
Max Factor Rise & Shine Mascara
Among all the things beauty, mascaras are the products I love testing the most!
My all-time favourites are the Rimmel Wonder’full Mascara, the Benefit Roller Lash, and the long-gone Maybelline Look Piuma. What do they have in common? They provide your lashes with a lot of volumes without feeling heavy and clumpy.
Does it give volume or length to your eyelashes?
Unfortunately, the Rise & Shine Mascara is not going to enter in my top 3. Despite claiming to “lift and gift volume” to your lashes, it really doesn’t.
The effect is so natural I decided to save this look by putting up a pair of false lashes by Ardell Lashes.
Max Factor Rise & Shine Mascara is not a winner for me.

Shades
I’ve got a totally different opinion on the palette of this collection! There are 8 shades ranging from a light cream tone to an intense orangy-red. Four of them are shimmery, four are matte.
In the picture above I was wearing the fourth shade of this palette, the most intense one. In hindsight, I should have put also the third colour (a light gold) in the inner corner to complete the look.
Texture
The premise is that since I’ve tried the Becca Cosmetics Volcano Goddess Palette no texture will ever compare. Still, I like this palette: it’s not dusty, very pigmented and it blends beautifully with your fingers.
