As you probably know, L’Oréal launched a range of mud masks last year, which became quite popular thanks to the multi-masking trend and I personally think they’re good because they do purify your skin and they’re affordable.
L’Oréal Pure Sugar Scrubs
Three weeks ago, I was lucky enough to receive the new Sugar Scrubs from L’Oréal and what a perfect timing! My skin was getting little annoying spots on my forehead and it wasn’t smooth, so I’ve been an appropriate tester for these goodies.
Pure Sugar Smooth & Glow Face Scrub
The scrub is a naturally derived blend of 3 pure sugars paired with finely ground Acai, nutrient-rich Grapeseed and Monoi Oils.
The sugar particles are very thin, they feel like sand but they’re not harsh on your skin and leave your skin feeling fresh and clean.
As with any scrub, you shouldn’t use it too often because it can actually cause damage to your skin, however, l’Oréal recommended use is up to 3 times a week. It smells like coffee to me.
Pure Sugar Purify & Unclog Face Scrub
This one has a really innovative texture for a scrub: it has a gelly consistency with kiwi seeds in it. Very gentle, it feels more like a cleanser than a scrub.
It should self-heat but it doesn’t really do that in all honesty.
How about the smell? This one smells like kiwi and it’s by far my favourite among the three.
Pure Sugar Nourish & Soften Face Scrub
Made with coconut oil and cocoa butter (added to the three fine sugars), that’s why it’s so buttery and creamy. Only once you put it on your face and start massaging you are able to feel the sugar particles doing their job.
Personally, I don’t like the super sweet smell of chocolate and the weird patina it leaves afterwards.
All of these L’Oréal Pure Sugar Scrubs can be used on your face AND lips.
