If you love your Wet Brush but are unsure how to clean it effectively, you’ve come to the right place. I am going to show you two easy methods!
Why is the Wet Brush so good
I’ve tried numerous regular brushes and also the popular Tangle Teezer, but none have proven as effective as the Wet Brush. I believe it’s due to the bristles’ ability to bend and wiggle through tangles, without hurting your head.
No more pain, no more tangles.
I own the Original Detangler Wet Brush and the Paddle Hair Brush.
- The Original Wet Brush is perfect for everyday use.
- The Paddle Brush, with its 20% larger surface area, is amazing for evenly distributing conditioning treatments and hair masks.
Although I remove the hair with my hands every time I use them, they easily get dirty and gross!
Maintaining a clean hairbrush is crucial (whatever the brand) due to the buildup of hair product residues and oils on it. The more you continue using a dirty hairbrush, the more you’re essentially brushing those residues into your freshly cleaned hair.
This tool helps you clean your Wet Brush
First method
I was struggling to deeply clean my Wet Brush until I discovered the Wet Brush Cleaner, a small tool you can pass through the bristles to remove hair and dust. It’s very quick and effective!
The Wet Brush Cleaner costs around 6$ and you can find it here on Amazon!
Second method
If you can’t get hold of that, you can use a home remedy of mine:
- Grab a toothpick.
- Use the toothpick to gather all the hair at the top of the bristles.
- Remove the gathered hair from your hairbrush. You can then apply a small amount of liquid soap to the brush, followed by a thorough rinse with water.
I usually brush my hair when it’s wet, immediately after showering. Following that, I put on my Aquis Lisse Luxe Hair Turban. And there you have it, haircare made simple!
