In my head, a small drawstring bag, perhaps with feathers, would be the chosen accessory of Olivia Palermo for an evening out. Small bag, maxi dress, and pointed flats: yes, I can definitely see the look.
Sometimes a monochrome outfit could be turned around just by the bag. Last Summer I wore multiple times head-to-toe black outfits with my red pouch bag.
My Silk Pouch Bag
It’s 100% satin silk and cinches close using two drawstring pulls. Most of these bags have got the two handles looking like ropes, which I don’t really like the look of.
Even though it’s a small hand-carry bag, there’s plenty of room for all your stuff. If you have read my blog post about the Frenzlauer Mini Swing, you already know I am a true minimalist: keys, card-holder, tissues, and off we go!
However, it has happened that I filled it in with more things and it has kept its shape.
My Velvet Green Pouch Bag
After having a great Summer with my silky drawstring bag, I’ve pulled the trigger once again and bought it in Velvet. The colour is a gorgeous deep emerald green, which goes perfectly with most of my Winter outfits!
I was originally looking for a bag exactly like this but with more character, maybe with some sequins or feathers (or crystals, right Miu Miu?), but I really fell hard for this simple one. It doesn’t even have an embossed logo. How stunning is it?
To me, a lovely pouch bag is a nice option for your evening outfits.
