Finding the perfect foundation is a never-ending quest for us beauty lovers, but Dior has just launched a product that might end the search: the viral Dior Forever Skin Perfect Stick Foundation.
Let’s dive into what makes it a standout, how to use it, and why it deserves a spot in your beauty bag.
What is the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Stick Foundation?
This foundation stick is designed to offer a natural, blurred finish while keeping your skin hydrated for up to 24 hours. I’ve never worn it for that long, but after a full day, it still looks pretty decent! If I apply it at 7 am, I’d usually touch it up around 8 pm before going out (though in winter, I’m typically in bed by 9 pm lol).
It’s a multi-use product that adapts to your needs, whether you want sheer coverage for daytime or more buildable coverage for evening glam. I find it works best for me to apply two vertical stripes of foundation on my cheeks and a single stripe on my forehead, nose, and chin. Its lightweight texture actually feels like a second skin!
Additionally, one of its features is its “skincare-infused formula”: packed with iris extract, it should nourish your skin while letting it breathe.
How to use a Stick Foundation like a Pro
Stick foundations are incredibly versatile, and the Dior Forever Skin Perfect Stick Foundation is no exception. Here’s how you can make the most of it:
- Start with a clean, moisturized face, and don’t skip the sunscreen! A fave of mine is La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 50+; check out my review here.
- Apply the stick directly to your face. I’d recommend avoiding fresh spots, as the bacteria would transfer to the stick and linger there.
- Use a wet beauty blender to blend it into your skin. This is by far the method that gives me the more natural, dewy look! A great beauty blender is this one from Real Techniques because it’s squishier than others.
What shade do I wear?
This stick foundation comes in a wide range of shades to suit all skin tones, from fair to deep. Mine is 1N.
Price
The Dior Stick Foundation is priced at around 50€.
In conclusion, after trying the Espressoh OHMYGLOW Skin-Tint twice, I’m officially moving on. I do like it, but Dior’s Stick is my new favorite, especially since I’m currently obsessed with creamy formulas (even my bronzer is a creamy one: SoftSculpt by MakeUp by Mario!).
