It’s a mid-august morning, I still have a few days of vacation left and I’m preparing for a September glow-up. Nose filler, teeth whitening, vitamins, laser hair removal: all that jazz to make me feel better.
As I told you in my latest life catchup, 2024 has been a real struggle, and the tough period has still not come to an end. But I’m trying my best to have faith that good things are coming, and putting on makeup every day is one way I’m boosting my confidence (and a reason to not cry).
Let’s see what’s inside my makeup bag.
Base
Smashbox Photo Finish Glow Primer. I’ve got the mini size because I always worry that face primers could clog my pores but this doesn’t happen with this product. It gives you an amazing, dewy look, without feeling heavy or “obvious”. 100% I’m buying the full size.
Espressoh OhMyGlow Foundation. This foundation has been one of my most frequently repurchased items and I’ve shared my thoughts in a full review here.
Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer Satin Finish. Concealer is an area where I’d like to find an alternative because I’m not truly happy with this, mainly because the packaging is getting dirty all the time and no shade seems perfect for my under eyes.
Kess Berlin Blush & Glow Duo Stick. I can’t recommend enough this product! The cream blush especially is incredible.
Eyes
Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded + L’Orèal Lash Paradise Waterproof. You know, I’m a really big fan of drugstore mascaras. They give you amazing lashes for half of the price, which is great considering I rarely leave the house without it on.
Elf No Budge Shadow Stick. I’ve got the updated version, but I wish the “original” ones were still available because I still love them to pieces. The formula, the colours, the longevity. Amazing.
Kess Berlin Fluffy Brow Filler. This product leaves your eyebrows less rigid than the Espressoh Hey Brow but doesn’t hold as well!
Kess Berlin Easy Brow Pencil. Purchased already two times, it’s so easy to use and gives my brows a defined, yet soft look. Read “The brand I wish I discovered sooner: Kess Berlin” if you’d like an insight on more products.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Eye Pencil. Another drugstore hit! Can you believe it lasts for half the day in the inner corner?!
Lips
Neve Cosmetics Precise Lipstick. The only product I put on my lips since 2018. I hope it never gets discontinued! In the picture above, I’m wearing the shade Marmotta.
