Three months ago, I packed all my stuff and moved from my hometown (near Bologna) to Milan.
The last time I shared a personal update, I told you about the struggles 2020 brought me. However, right after I had reached my lowest point – having a huge panic attack in the middle of a field – I got two job offers at the same time: one from a small digital agency, one from a well-known one. I had 36 hours to make a choice.
I trusted my gut and accepted the offer from the small agency.
Two weeks later I was in an Airbnb, all alone, with five suitcases and a beer, ready to start a new chapter of my life. I spent one month there and I got to meet quite a few people, including a lovely girl from Strasburg. On February 1st, I moved into my flat, together with a friend of a girl who has been following me on Instagram for many years. My 2 cents: don’t be shy, tell your followers that you are looking for a place because you never know!
I got those “it’s the one” vibes as soon as I walked into my flat, which is located really close to the Duomo in a very safe neighborhood! My room has a white herringbone parquet, a huge window, and a cute balcony. It’s also super warm and quiet: what more could I want?
During these first three months, I’ve been through some ups and downs at work, but I always have a serene state of mind. Sometimes we picture our dream life in our minds, we work our ass off to achieve it but when we get there it’s not quite how we expected. In my case, everything is exactly how I wanted it to be.
Looking back, quitting my old job was a huge risk, and afterward, so many doors didn’t open but I had faith and pushed through. Now I can say I made all the right choices along the way. ♥
